I don't know if this is something you can accomplish with your magic or something you'd need to request of the Admiral, but I'd like my cabin to be made soundproof.

...I suppose being able to hear someone knock on the door would be useful.

I imagine you'd need to know if there's a real emergency, too. If we soundproof your room and there's an evacuation, you'll still need to be aware. How would you prefer to handle that?

I imagine it might make it onto the network, or someone would warn me in person.

I'd feel better if you didn't rely on that. Would a light stir you from a trance? Something different to your usual lighting. Perhaps red to indicate the emergency? Less frustrating than the noise of the alarm, but enough to let you know it's active without having to be told.

Darling, I've been here over a year and we have never needed to evacuate this ship, but - yes, I'd notice a change in lighting.

If we did have to, and you were hurt because you didn't hear an alarm, I think we'd both be upset. I'll ask the Admiral if it can be connected to a light in your quarters.

I had more Wardens offering than Inmates interested, I'm afraid.

Though I did have someone mentioning more... practical skills. Things not necessarily pointed directly towards a job. One mentioned driving. I wonder if that might be a good start... life skills rather than career options. Perhaps the latter is too... overwhelming.

I'm aware of some by name. The ones most relevant to what happened, I suppose. Bane, Myrkul, and Bhaal. Some others, more relevant to the individuals Astarion travelled with.

That he was one of a group called the Dead Three. The god of Tyranny. That you were his... chosen, empowered to do his will.

Souls of their followers belong to them. Those deemed failures or otherwise unclean can expect especially terrible afterlives. Even if your failure was planned and orchestrated by your deity.

Worse, of course. But currently you are doing nothing at all. Beginning your journey, at least, would be progress without rushing.

I do not have control over any of this beginning. I do the job I have been given and I do not make trouble. Calling what I am expected and required to do 'nothing' is reductive.
